Ralph Erman, a sculptor in wood, stone and clay, takes his inspiration from nature, the industrial environment, and his long years of experience in the field of Design. He studied furniture & interior design in the Netherlands, industrial design at Pratt Institute and fine arts at NYU. While holding important design and administrative positions with various Architectural, Design and Corporate firms he found time to develop his distinct style of sculpture incorporating past experiences with natural and abstract expressions.

His work has been shown widely at exhibits and galleries, such as:

The Art Student League of New York
The Alliance of Queens Artists Gallery, New York City
St. Johns University, Chung Cheng Gallery, Queens, New York
Allied Artists of America exhibits at the National Arts Club in New York City
The Audubon Artists shows at the Salmagundi Club in New York City (where he received a Gold Medal of Honor in 2004)

He also has received the Lindsey Morris Memorial Award of Excellence at the Allied Artist Show in New York City. In addition, he received A Merit Scholarship and exhibit at the Cork Gallery in NYC, sponsored by the Art Students League of New York, VAALI Award of Excellence at two juried exhibits at the Chelsea Center in Long Island. NY.

His work can also been seen at the "State of the Arts Gallery" in Sarasota, Florida.
