an open-theme, all media exhibition of art in the AQA Gallery in Forest Hills

ELIGIBILITY: All artists working in any technique, any theme, any subject! You may submit pieces previously shown in the AQA Gallery (prior to the last two shows). This is a best of show, so please submit your best work.

FEES: $20 for members, $40 for non-members, non-refundable. Make check payable to: "Alliance of Queens Artists".

ENTRY BY ACTUAL WORK: You may bring one or two works (one or two may be selected), with check or money order, to the AQA Gallery on Wednesday, May 14^th, 4-6:30pm. Please have entry forms filled out and attached to back of work. Waivers will be given to you when you deliver your work. Notification will be immediate. All accepted works will remain in the AQA Gallery. All other work must be removed.

PRESENTATION: Art must be suitably framed or it must be rejected! (Picture wire must be secured to frame with screw-eyes. Metal frames must have adjustable eye tabs). Sculptors must supply pedestals. Sculpture must be secured to pedestal.

SIZE RESTRICTION: Two-dimensional work is to be no larger than 42" wide (including frame).

SALES: AQA requests a 15% donation on all artwork sold!

GALLERY SITTING: All participants are asked to volunteer for gallery sitting.

RECEPTION PREPARATION: All participants are asked to bring something (other than friends and relatives) such as wine, cheese, appetizers, soda, fruit (already cut up), cake/pie, cookies, pastries, etc. If you bring lots of people, remember to bring lots of stuff.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: AQA members can make arrangements to deliver or pick-up on days other than the ones stated in this prospectus. But you must call well ahead of time to make arrangements with Bob Menzel. We cannot be held responsible if you do not adhere to the scheduled time, or pre-arranged dates. Inconvenient dates are not an excuse for not being able to exhibit, since there are no inconvenient dates.

CALENDAR - PLEASE MAKE NOTE OF ALL DATES AND TIMES ON YOUR CALENDAR

Delivery of all work --- Wednesday, May 14^th, 4-6:30pm at the AQA Gallery.

Reception. --- Saturday, May 17^th, 2-4pm, at the Gallery.

Pick up of work at the end of show. – June 7^th, 5-6pm. If you are unable to pick up work at these times, please call to make arrangements to pick up your work AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER THE SHOW. A $5 late fee will be charged for each day work is not removed beyond arranged day.
